Frequently Asked Questions
What does “OTG 2 IN 1” mean?
OTG stands for “On-The-Go,” meaning it can connect directly to compatible smartphones and tablets. “2 IN 1” refers to its dual connectors: a standard USB-A for computers and a USB-C for newer mobile devices and laptops, making it incredibly versatile for data transfer.
Is this drive compatible with iPhones?
No, this drive features USB-A and USB-C connectors. iPhones primarily use Apple’s Lightning connector (or USB-C on newer models like iPhone 15 series). While it would work with the iPhone 15 series and newer iPhones/iPads with a USB-C port, it’s not directly compatible with older iPhones that use Lightning.
What is the actual usable storage for the 128GB version?
Due to how manufacturers calculate storage (1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes) versus how operating systems calculate it (1GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes), and some space reserved for firmware, a 128GB drive typically shows around 115-119GB of usable space. This is standard for all flash drives, not just this one.
How fast are the transfer speeds?
While specific speeds aren’t listed, given the price point, expect standard USB 2.0 or basic USB 3.0 speeds. It’s perfectly adequate for everyday file transfers, documents, photos, and even some videos, but it won’t match the blazing speeds of premium, significantly more expensive USB 3.1 or 3.2 drives.
