BEST of the 5 I tested (read for more detail)I bought 5 headsets to see who would reign supreme. Aside from this one, I bought the following:-Astro A50 (Wireless)-Bose QuietComfort 35 Series 2 (Wired)-Beyerdynamic MMX 300 2nd Generation (Wired)-SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GamerDac (Wired)-SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro + GamerDac2 (Wired)between the 5, these were night and day better than all others except the other SteelSeries, which was a close 2nd.Bose were the worst due to tiny ear muff design which made it unusable… I don’t even have a big head. They are just tiny fit. Sound was ok but nothing amazingAstro A50s were surprisingly underwhelming since ive heard so much hype about them. not loud at all, and mediocre quality sound.Beyerdynamic didnt even come with a usb connector so i could not test these ones, but the earmuffs were not comfortableBoth steel series are incredible… but the Arctis Nova Pro (Wired) that i got, the GamerDac 2 is obviously better technology and feels more luxurious. also the SteelSeries GG app you can download on pc to tune your sound is incredible. This headset is AMAZING for gaming

Great entry for Audiophile gamers. The Arctis Nova Pro’s are definitely a treat for people looking for higher quality audio on PC.Off the bat, these headset’s sound and feel are amazing. Much better than 99% of gaming headphones commonly used.In terms of audio being 10/10.These bad boys hit a 10hz-40,000kHz frequency (99% of gaming headphones on average are 20hz-20,000kHz which is double the quality on both frequency ranges) and if connected to pc, can be maximized to 96KHz/24bit audio resolution which is the beginning standard to Hi Res audio. These headsets have great sounding highs and lows with more of a focus on highs. These headset’s can be turned up REALLY loud.My only complaint is I would wish the lows (bass) were much stronger feeling.Comfort is 9/10The headband and earcups are very lightweight so it sits on your head weightless and perfectly. The earcups definitely block out most of the outside sound when audio is playing. Only complaint is the headset’s material feels rather cheap since it’s mostly plastic.Features is 10/10You use a DAC that lets you control everything. You have custom EQ settings, Chatmix volume slider (can be used in PC with app), and mic settings like sidetone sensitivity as well as mic volume.Highly recommend for sure.

Great headset, but definitely takes some getting use to…I bought this headset as an upgrade from some hyper x soundclouds. First of all, I enjoy the fact that I don’t have to have the headset at 100% to actually here the game like a lot of high ends headsets. Moreover, if you do buy this headset and are pc user, definitely download the sonar app. Not only does this enable you to switch between pre-adjusted audio setting depending on the game, but also allows changes for how you want your microphone output to soundlike. I’m no audiophile, but I can genuinely say this is a great headset, with many features that you aren’t probably going to use. Finally, the sonar surround sound feature does take some getting used to if, it is just a different type of experience (definitely not in a bad way!)

Firmware update issue with MacWas so excited to try out the Hi-Res audio on my Mac, and decided to update the firmware (labeled as critical), and it bricked the GameDAC; constantly shows “Firmware Update Available”, and GG doesn’t recognize it’s plugged in. Hoping SteelSeries support comes up with a fix, and can demonstrate they value their Mac customers.

A great buy, but it isnt perfectI bought this product on impulse as i was originally going to buy a cheaper alternative. Once it got here i expected it to be pretty good, it astounded me with the amount of audio customization and clarity these give, I dont use the microphone but from what i can tell its a pretty ok microphone quality, nothing to good but nothing horrible either. The only thing im unhappy about is the pleather ear pads, they shift around easily and sometimes rotate when moved slightly, the inside of the earpad looks and feels like it is about to peel of, and i feel as if you would to scratch or rub it a bit to hard it would peel the entire thing of. the outside is nothing out of the ordinary, although it is clear it will eventually peel after a bit, might buy replacements for the ear cups down the line. But this headset is a great comfortable option even with the mediocre ear pads, although the plastic feels a bit to lightweight in certain parts, its not bad enough to warrant not buying it. I just wish it had a better plastic quality. Also forgot to mention that for music its quite ok, and for gaming its absolutely amazing, you can pinpoint an enemys location just by sound queues, its saved me multiple times in valorant.

Cheaply built and overpricedThought I’d upgrade my sons Arctis 7’s, but wow it is just very hard to describe the disappointment in the overall quality of these. Feel like these are overpriced by $100.Positives – Sound quality and dac are slightly above average, lightweight, comfortableNegatives – cheap plastic, cheap earpads, cheap cables, cheap headband, cheap mic

Decent audio, sketchy multi-input detectionSounds good. If that’s all you need to know, it does well in that regard. I specifically purchased this with the gamedac2 so I could swap between two devices without unplugging my headphones. This works sometimes but not always, which is kinda problematic. The way to get around this is to unplug and replug one of the usb-c inputs.

Great for gaming and great micPros: These sound great in games. Very detailed and immersive. The microphone is excellent, I was told I sound super crisp like I was using a condenser mic. Controls in Sonar are fairly robust aside from the noise suppression and noise gate.Cons: Music sounds decent, but the frequency response at the high end gets a bit weird and I could get the sound just where I wanted it. You can’t get the 96 KHz 24 bit audio if you are using Sonar. Sonar requires a login for all the features. Only includes one type of earcups even though I don’t have issues with them.It would be nice to have some extra features like Bluetooth support on the DAC at this price point. What you get is really good but the price still seems high, all things considered.

IncredibleReplaced Astro A40 TR + Mixamp with these. Very noticeable improvement to sound quality in Warzone and other games. Music was decent if you switched profiles but I wish there was an easier way to switch profiles in the software, it’s a bit tedious.
