Super satisfied with the experienceI recently purchased this camera which was an addition to the two other older models I have. I was impressed with the quality, but disappointed when I installed it only to find that the speaker was bad. I called customer service, and they took care of it. Some basic troubleshooting over the phone lead to the unit needing to be replaced. They said they would send a replacement within 5-7 days…but I received it in 2! I replaced the bad one with the new one, and it was all good! Not only is the ring interface easy to use when you have multiple devices like the ring, and other cameras connected. But the customer experience was fantastic as well. This was the first time that I’ve had to actually contact them and I’ve been using ring products for over 6 years now!

Finally got it installedI bought this on Prime Day and finally replaced our patio flood light with it. I did the install myself which was pretty straight forward. It comes with lots of extra screws for most scenarios. Once I had it mounted, linking it to the wifi and then the ring app was all very smooth. I already pay for a ring subscription for two cameras and this one makes our third. I like the new subscription model that is based on location so there was no additional monthly cost for the camera. Image and video is excellent and the motion detection works really well. I zoned off just the patio area, but could change it to the whole backyard if we are away on vacation. At night, the light is super bright. I feel like the whole yard is lit up with the light which i really like. We will see how it holds up, but so far we are very happy with it.

Like this cam, but had to replace…I had purchased this Ring Wired Pro Camera about 14 months ago, and really like it. Easy installation, replacing the flood lights that came with my house. Great picture and sound, and the perfect way to check on the vehicles in my driveway. However, about a month ago, I noticed the plastic lens cove started to peel away from the camera, allowing water to get in behind it. I dried it out and applied a little Gorilla Glue on the edge to seal it back up. It worked well for a while, but this week, I started getting water back in, and it totally knocked out the camera to where nothing worked with it. I couldn’t get the lens cover off again ( good endorsement for Gorilla Glue) so I ended up buying this one to replace it. Used the existing hardware, so it took literally 5 minutes to take off the old one and put the new one up. I just hope that this new camera will last longer than the first one did. Only time will tell.So if the camera holds up for more than a year, this is a 5 star product, if not, it’s not worth the money to have to replace it every year or so.**Edit**Back to 5 stars…After posting my review, Ring reached out to me to find out more about the issue with the camera. They sent out a replacement, in exchange for getting my defective one back so they can figure out what went wrong. Brett from Ring went above and beyond to help me get a solution to my problem. I like to see a company stand behind their product, and make things right. It goes a long way to maintain loyalty to their product. I would not hesitate purchasing more Ring products for around my home.

Exactly What I NeedSelf-installed. I’m an idiot and it was easy to install and set up. Very pleased with camera quality. Put on our cabin which is about 2.5 hours away from us. Initially it was very sensitive and picked up every bug and leaf that blew in front of it. Dialed down the sensitivity and it stopped ringing every two seconds but picks up the “larger” objects that come through like vehicles, people, wild turkeys, feral cats, a random wandering pig, etc.

Review covers older RingI have been very pleased with my Ring at my garage until recently. I ordered three more for another garage, the back and front. Love watching the deer, opossums, etc. wander infront of the garage. The issue is, lately, that camera is about 18 months old and has started to freeze and stays frozen for the rest of the recording. Nothing has changed with my WiFi. I have a mesh system, and other devices work fine, so I can only think it’s the Ring. I haven’t installed the other three yet, so I don’t know if they will have the same issue as they get older.

Best purchase I ever made! ❤️The Spotlight cam is an excellent addition to my Ring alarm system. I replaced the old motion detection Spotlights. I needed to hire someone to install it for me. I’m not able to climb ladders. Plus I was concerned about the electrical connection. Wanted it to be installed properly. It monitors my driveway and front yard areas. With all the recent car break ins, it brings a sense of security to me. It works great!

ExcellentIt was very easy to install and connect to my WiFi. The image quality is really good and it works as advertised. I’ve had it up for a few months now and no problem. The light is super bright and can be dimmed if needed.

Pretty good…Takes a bit to install and get set up but overall, very good. What they don’t tell is that in order to hear what’s going on, you have to remove the plastic film or it blocks the mic making it impossible to hear someone. It covers my entire front yard, very happy about that. Recommended.

It just worksI installed this to take the place of a motion light and a separate security camera.Installation: It was easy to install. I was very impressed that Ring includes various sizes of mounting screws as well as a tool tailor made for this item. I already had a couple of battery powered Ring cameras, and adding this to my account was a breeze.Use: The lights and camera sensitivity functions separately. If the light comes on, that doesn’t necessarily mean the camera comes on. I can make the camera much more sensitive to movement, but the light always seems to turn on way before the camera will activate. The camera range to what it will trigger on can be greatly manipulated but the light can only be set for movement a certain distance away. Once I realized the light and camera actually operate as two separate units, I understood what was going on. Until then it was frustrating – the light would pop on multiple times a night and the camera would not record anything until I set the ranges appropriately. It will took a couple of days of fine tuning before I got it to the point where it was behaving the way I wanted it. And once I reached that point, it’s been pretty much hands off since.Wifi: The unit is located externally on a brick wall. The Wifi router is located so that the signal also has to go down this wall, from the inside to the outside. I initially set up an extender thinking that the signal having to go “the long way” down the wall would loose strength – and it does. But the extender wound up just slowing things down. In the end, the signal shows medium to low strength yet it behaves just fine. I removed the extender and haven’t had to deal with it since.

Awesome security camera! Feel safe!Motion detection, clear images, great flood lights! Makes me feel secure at home and can see who comes to the door or within the customized perimeter that starts the alert and recording! Will be obtaining the subscription plan because it’s worth it and a well worth investment! Thank you Amazon and Ring for creating this product and allowing reviews take place! A+!
