The best compact scanner on the market! This is a great little scanner. I haven’t had it long but so far it beats the HP 3 in 1 I was using. It has cloud capability, so you can story anything you can and keep it in order. You can story your email contact list right in it and simply choose where you want your document to go, so it is fast and easy. The tech is one of the best I have seen, and they are always ready and able to help. They will walk you through your issues and make sure you understand what you just went through with them. Which for me is important because i am a little computer tech challenged.

Wow.I haven’t bought a scanner for several years and this is the first “dedicated” one I have bought – the others have all been multi-function stuff. Comparing this to my Canon PIXMA with updated drivers & software – let’s call it heaven vs h3ll. It took .. maybe? .. 5 minutes for the Raven to setup and grab my wifi network. 3 minutes after that I had Raven Cloud configured, and 2 minutes after that I have several basic workflows going. Scan to my Evernote account – no problem… scan to OneDrive or GoogleDrive – No problem. Scan 2 sides? Yep – in one pass.. none of that in & out nonsense, Raven spent a few pennies and put two cameras on it – and this is the “compact” one (ideal for our long working/vacation RV trips!)I’m sold, you get what you pay for, I’ll never touch another Canon/Epson/Brother/Garbage product.

Update. 24/7 Tech Support? Where?UPDATE :I received a call from the company to address the issue. I’ve not received this level of customer service in a long time. With all the hype we now deal with these days here is a company that wants to make their product work as advertised. You can read below if you want to know the issue but either way know that Raven backs up their products.Thank you!For two hours now I have tried to get this scanner to connect to my network. At first it saw it and said it was connecting, nope just the spin of death. After 10 minutes of that I started from square one. Then I got the error message that said reboot computer and restart scanner. I tried it, three times. Nope. Then I tried the WPS method. At one point it said it was connected but then, nope. After over a dozen attempts to get the scanner to connect I have drawn these conclusions. Wi-Fi direct is a crappy way to link peripherals to a network. (This has been the case for a number of “The internet of things” using this method.)The manual seems to be written by someone who has not a clue about troubleshooting in this area. The 24/7 tech support via phone, text, or email is just hype, or I cannot find the link and no one has responded to my email from over an hour ago.I’ve looked thru the “knowledge base” and cannot find a mention of what could be going on.After 5 re-installs of the software I don’t think it’s my network or my PC. It’s either bad software, a faultywi-fi card (in the scanner) or there is something I am missing. If someone with the company will help and this scanner works I will change my tune.Next day I called as I got tired of waiting for a response that WASN’T robo mail.Well, David in support tried with what tools Raven gave him. An hour and eighteen minutes worth. Finally got it to connect. That lasted until the scanner went to sleep. Then it was more Wi-Fi rodeo. I can see the scanner connected to my network but Raven Desktop software cannot. Then I got it connected again.Today, new day it’s back to the rodeo.Still no response to the first tech email request for help. The reviews talking about great support has not been my experience.I now have spent over 5 hours working with this scanner. I’m done.Whatever the back story on this scanner is I am no longer putting time into it.It just DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED.I need a wi-fi scanner and isn’t one.

Lots of options for the moneyThis scanner was so easy to set up. I am using the wifi option and it works great. I like that there are so many options for storing documents including the free cloud storage. It also does several paper sizes and duplex scanning which is a bonus.

Decent, but not on Scansnap LevelThis is a decent scanner for the price, especially for someone who is doing limited scanning and does not need a lot of “scan to email” or “scan to folder” features. For someone like myself, who scans for work frequently, this didn’t cut it. I purchased this for my home office hoping it would suffice since it is much cheaper than the Fujitsu scansnap which is what I have in my business office, but in this case I got what I paid for.The unit itself is attractive and compact, but it will NOT scan directly as an attachment to your email dialog box. I thought it would when I purchased it and it stated “scan to email” but in this case it scans to the Raven app which will email it directly to a PRELOADED email. This didn’t work for me as I need to type specific messages in the bodies of these emails and send to multiple different people a day. Basically I need to send from my outlook, not the raven app. The workaround to this is I would need to scan and save it to a folder first and then email it, which I don’t necessarily want all these docs saved. There was also the same problem with the save to folder, you couldn’t just select any folder on your hard drive or server you wanted when saving, you had to first make sure you “programmed” that folder in the raven scanning software so you could select it. Could be problematic if you are constantly saving to different folders. The other thing I didn’t like was that if I turned the unit off (say on Friday when I’m done working for the week) then I had to re-connect it with wifi network when I turned it back on. That was rather annoying. I will say tech support was easy to reach and was able to quickly answer my questions when I was trying to figure out features.Long story short I returned it and paid the extra money for the other brand. This could be good for a generic once in a while scanner but not for business purposes (or at least not mine)

Initial impression: strongly positiveInitial impression: I just set this up with a Windows computer. I’m impressed with the hardware quality, pleased with the ease of setup, pleased with the quality of the test scans, and impressed with the support for a wide variety of destinations for the scanned documents. This model has the option of communicating via USB or wi-fi. I selected wi-fi, and was impressed with the ease of setup and responsiveness with small scans.

Fast, compct scannerThis little scanner has a small footprint on your desk and scans quickly and accurately. It also works with different scan programs such as Paperport. I am very impressed that it has so many features for a very reasonable price.

Nince and compactI am using this in place of an Epson scanner. It doesn’t have all of the features of the Epson but is as easy to use and seems more reliable. Takes a little bit of practice to understand the software and how it works but once you understand it, no problem. My computer would not read the Epson scanner more than half of the time and the only way I could scan with it was to reboot my system. Sometimes, it took more than one reboot. Not so with the Raven. Scans both sides on one pass and will copy b&W or color on both.

Works with Windows 11Very pleased with the Raven Compact Scanner because it is very easy to use. The installation instructions were spot-on and simple, and you can scan your first document within minutes after unwrapping the scanner. Even double-sided, it scans quick as a flash! Can send scanned document to a folder on your computer or email or Dropbox or other websites.
