Genuine HP item, genuine HP priceIf you’re looking for hyper-expensive toner for your laser printer, look no further than HP. This is a genuine HP toner cartridge for a $500 M553 printer. You might note that this printer cartridge is nearly $250 from HP who are notorious for raping their customers. Prepare thyself, dear customer, for another raping.It works as advertised and is, indeed, high capacity but it’s so expensive that you might actually reconsider purchasing the printer itself. I’m sure there are other options which are cheaper, but I’ve been bitten before with the DMCA-esque authenticity checking designed into the printer itself. Happy printing!

defective, and probably a refurbished item.item was obviously a refurbished. The black cartridge was ghosting my images and looked terrible. Put my original back in the printer and prints were perfect. Amazon sent a replacement that came in a 508X box, but inside was a 55A, in a black bag that was opened and leaking all over the place. Wherever these come from, buyer beware.

Fraudulent sale of used cartridge sealed in new box.Bought this cartridge as a back up and received it promptly. A few months later and our old cartridge ran out so we opened this sealed box to install the backup. Inside the box was an obviously used cartridge (not sealed in a wrapper, toner dust all over, and no pull off strip). We installed it and the toner was out, lower level than the old one we just took out.

Defective & Can’t ReturnInstalled product – printing black dots on the pages. I order one ahead so I don’t run out – past the 30 day return period for Amazon. HP states they have a warranty but good luck finding someone / somewhere to return cartridge.

not as much toner as promisedEach toner I have is giving me less than what I had in the original 508a toners that came with the printer.I have printed 3 documents each with 730 pages each Plus another 600 pages so roughly 2790 pagesa far cry from 9000 pages promised.. Feel like the sticker was changed out.
