How we got our start
Jack felt the need for a secondary monitor while working at a co-working space and decided to build a laptop monitor from a broken laptop. That is how our first product Mobile Pixels DUEX was born.

The designers of this product clearly had ergonomics in mind: it’s light to carry and promotes good posture (my neck is spared from repeatedly looking down at a resting, angled monitor). I’m definitely getting more work done in the same amount of time and my return on investment on this product is off the charts.Eager to see more products from these guys!

DO NOT recommend purchasingI needed a duel screen for school because I watch my lectures online and write out my notes at the same time. I came across this product and thought it would be the perfect solution. In theory, if this product worked as advertised it would have been amazing BUT it was too good to be true. I have had the product for about 3 weeks now and it’s been one problem after the other. Installation was easy and very simple no issues there. Applying the magnets and downloading the drivers was smooth and the mechanics of the product are good. When plugged in I found that the second screen turns on and off here and there. This becomes increasingly annoying because this causes blackouts on both the duex screen and the screen of your laptop, so you basically can’t do any work while it’s happening. It started out only happening every so often so it was annoying but manageable. The longer I used the screen the worse it got. To the point where I stopped using the screen for a little bit. Three weeks in the USB-C cable it came with (I use a macbook pro) broke. the metal part of the USB-C head got stuck in my computer and I had to pry it out with pliers. I ended up buying another cable which has helped some, but for the price it is listed at this shouldn’t be happening. I was really hoping this product would work well because I was very excited to purchase it. I think it still has potential but I would wait until the company fixes all these glitches before investing in one.

Dodgy Drivers Install w/ CAUTION!First off, I’m a former Tier III Tech Support person and know what I’m doing. I downloaded the drivers, disabled virus protection during install and followed instructions completely. 1). I tried the standard USB cable provided – FAIL. The display and my laptop flashed repeatedly and froze. I saw briefly an image on the display like it was working, then nothing. Received an email from the seller (“William”) in broken English detailing to use the USB Type C cable because it was more “Stable”. From this email it sounds like I’m not the only one having these issues. Sooooooo, I used the USB Type C cable with the same results. I can’t risk the graphics card in my laptop over this thing anymore. It’s going back. The manufacturer needs to NOT picture the display hanging from the laptop if they say it MUST rest on a table. Another thing not clear. It never worked once.

PERFECT AND LIGHT MONITOR The monitor is perfect, I don’t know why many people complain about the magnets, but if you follow the directions it works perfectly as advertised. Just pushed the monitor down towards the table, it will not collapse the laptop it’s so easy to use.

I can’t work in public b/c everyone stops me and wants to know where I got this!I love everything about this. I love the flexibility of using my lap top but always missed my dual monitor capability from the office. This was easy to put together and use within minutes out of the box. I do need to get a new computer case, b/c my computer is just a little bit thicker now, but it is totally worth it. I have recommended this about 50 times in the couple of weeks since I got my Duex!

Duex Pro Portable Monitor – NOT so DurableAfter three weeks of using the product – the durability of the monitor is highly questionable especially on the side where you’ll pull it if you have it installed to the right side of your main monitor. The repetitive pulling and sliding have damage the integrity of the right side of portable monitor.

Great toolGreat option for a laptop but is should come with the kickstand. I he magnets do not hold the screen straight it starts to sag when it is extended

Love itThe unit was too big for my MacBook, but I figured I have a really small laptop. That’s why I bought the kickstand. This works great on my work laptop though, it’s much bigger. Everyone in the office loves it
