The Magnus REX VT-5000 2-Stage Video Tripod with Fluid Head supports cameras and accessories weighing up to 17 pounds.

Fluid Head

  • The head features spring-loaded counterbalance with pan and tilt fluid drag. Tilt drag is variable and can be adjusted to provide more or less drag, allowing you to fine-tune the head to match the needs of the shot.

  • The sliding balance camera plate features a spring-loaded locating pin and supports both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 camera tie-down screws (included).

  • The camera plate features 3.25″ of travel, providing a wide range of movement to balance your camera on the head for optimum operation.

  • Two 1/4″-20 threaded accessory mounting holes are integrated into the head, and they allow you to mount a variety of accessories, including articulating arms and mounting brackets.

  • The head features two pan handle rosettes for left- or right-handed operation. One pan handle is included with the system and it includes a rosette washer that helps protect the rosettes from stripping.

    Tripod Legs

  • The included mid-level spreader is adjustable, allowing you to spread the legs for a more stable shot or draw them close to gain height. The legs can be closed with the spreader attached.

  • The legs feature independent leg spread and height adjustment, useful for working on even surfaces such as rocky terrain or stairs.

  • The legs feature dual-spiked feet that provide solid purchase on soft surfaces when the legs are spread wide or extended to full height.

    2 For 1? Yes! Get These!I was so glad when I saw a two for one special. These the price I got for this, I honestly thought these were going to be cheap tripods that would fail me. These are heavy and super durable. Super smooth head, great height, and it is able to hold my Canon 7D with a shotgun mic, field monitor, and a basic 70mm lens.

    Horrible Tripod and customer serviceThe plate system on this tripod is trash. The locking lever broke on its second use and the customer service is a nightmare to the point where I do not even want to send it in to be POTENTIALLY fixed. They didn’t even pose any other options. Stay away from this tripod

    Cutting all the wrong cornersI realize this is not $2000 tripod but I thought going up in price a little from the basic bargain tripods would yield something a little more durable. I was wrong.I have used the tripod once and already one of the locking knobs on the cross members between the legs has stripped out.I thought about returning the tripod, but what a hassle especially since we are currently in quarantine. So I decided to tear into the mechanism and see if I could fix it and replace whatever was stripped.This product was designed to be impossible to service or repair. Bolts are heat/pressure set into plastic parts. The ends of the bolts are deformed by machine to prevent the knobs from threading the whole way off making it nearly impossible to replace the stripped knob with a wing nut or other more durable part. Apparently the bolts/nuts set into the plastic parts are inferior quality as well as it took no effort at all to strip the threads.Will not buy Magnus again. Just another Chinese brand with poor design, poor quality control and poor manufacturing techniques. Don’t let the price full you.
