DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!First off, if your looking for “20 year old” type bass, this is not the speaker for you. In my 20’s, I had 2–12 inch Pro Series Rockford Fosgates that made your heart stop. However, I’m in my mid 30’s now, want to be able to hear at 60, and prefer bass that compliments my music, not stops my heart from beating. If that’s what you are looking for too, then this speaker definitely does the job. Great bass to round out the sound in my 2017 F-150 Super Crew. Had it installed behind my driver side rear seat and it’s doing a great job. Great lows give my truck the sounds is what lacking with the stock radio. Now I love the way it sounds. No complaints whatsoever.5/15/19 UPDATEThis thing is hot garbage. It’s blown three times in the last year. Don’t waste your money on it. Buy something that will be more dependable. Glad I spent the extra $10 on the Square Trade insurance.

FOR ALL OTHER JK WRANGLER OWNERS THINKING OF ADDING THIS SUB!FOR ALL OTHER JK WRANGLER OWNERS THINKING OF ADDING THIS SUB! I have a 2017 Wrangler 2 door JK Willys with the 430N touchscreen head unit. I first did the kicker speaker upgrade on all the speakers in the dash and soundbar (with bass blockers on the tweeters) and then added a 4 channel Alpine KTP-445U speaker amp placed under the glovebox using the PAC AOEM-CHR3 wiring harness to get the proper amp connections. This was a huge improvement over the stock system but still was not where I wanted it.I added the Kicker 11HS8 Sub and it completely transformed my system to exactly what I wanted. I am not an audiophile by any means but I do place a big importance on having a quality and balanced system. I placed the sub down firing in the rear storage tub along with some dynamat, tapped into the speaker wires in the roll bar, grounded on a dring bolt by the tub (be sure your ground is solid, my sub wouldn’t turn on at first), ran the power wire to the battery and tapped into the remote turn on wire that the Alpine KTP-445U uses that the PAC AOEM-CHR3 harness provided. The sub really rounded out my entire system. I like a heavier bass sound in my music and have to keep the gain on the sub almost all the way down. I love my setup now, and it finally gives me enough power to be blasting good quality sound with the top off… Plus everything is hidden and maintains the stock look. I was on the fence about adding a sub to begin with but it is a must add now. The sub provides plenty of bass and seems to be very high quality. I think that having upgraded speakers makes a big difference in how the sub sounds.

This little thing has some serious bang!Didn’t wanna seem like I’m going through a mid-life crisis by getting 2 huge 1500W subs in the trunk like I had when I was young, but my 2017 Honda Accord Sport definitely needed an audio upgrade as the factory unit is crap. I paired this hideaway sub with a Kenwood DD unit and man is it a serious improvement! I have to keep the bass level a little over medium because anything above that and you can’t hear your music. I had it mounted under the passenger seat as shown in the pic, with the wires running under the carpet and through the floor panels, which makes it pretty much invisible. Only issue right now is I hear rattling from outside of the car, so will need to resolve that as I don’t wanna be that douche at red lights.

Perfect for 2020 Wrangler JL cargo wellWas not expecting much but very happy and very impressed for my 2020 Wrangler JL non Alpine system. Watched many videos and did my research, did not want to waste money on the get what you pay for powered subs. This fits perfectly in the cargo area storage well and I really thought is was not going to be enough. I listen to all kinds of music and everything sounds rich and full instead of sounding like a pocket Bluetooth speaker that Jeeps normally sound like. DO NOT take the short cut and not run a 12v remote kick on wire. Yes this sub can use the input signal as a kick on but seems it’s not enough and will clip badly. For 2020 Wranglers you can find the sound bar speaker wires in the passenger side B pillar (green twisted and gray twisted) easy access through the door harness release panel. You can find a good factory ground under the carpet passenger rear close to the seat mount. Since you have to run the remote volume controller wire, run a remote kick on also and t-tap that to the cig lighter in the dash. DO NOT use the port in the cargo area, that is 12v constant (not enough juice to power and definitely don’t use it as a kick on). Install would have taken an hour if I didn’t go the short cut route. Go old school and go directly to the batt and use a remote assc power. Please note if you are looking for hard hitting bass to shake the mirrors and wake the neighborhood this is not for you. This fills the missing lows that factory systems lose at higher volume. If your a jeep owner and don’t want to sacrifice any space this is perfect.

Installed in a 2017 F150 Super Crew. Fit perfectly behind the seat and secured …Installed in a 2017 F150 Super Crew. Fit perfectly behind the seat and secured with the included straps.I have a long history with car audio installations, probably done over 300. Long ago I grew tired of huge subs and installing amps in my vehicles, and for the most part have been happy with stock audio systems in the cars I bought. Until the 6 speaker system in the F150 came along. It’s the muddiest, worst sounding, most awful system to be installed since the 8 track. ZERO low end. Anything below 80hz was nonexistent and made the factory system struggle. So, I’m in the process of upgrading it all. I didn’t want a sub under the back seat. Several people have installed the Hideaway behind the super crew seats, and even were able to use the factory Ford sub harness, which seems to be present on most 2015-2017 F150s.Using FORscan software, I activated the sub harness and used it to power my sub. What a difference. Ford Sync 3 seems to come alive after the sub is active. The Hideaway is the best cheap audio upgrade you can do to the stock F150 system. Its output is surprising. The unit itself is much heavier than you’d imagine. Various install options make it an easy addition to most vehicles. The volume knob is a nice addition for a truck, my kids don’t like the extra thump at their backs when they’re in the truck. If you’re on the fence, get this sub. You’ll be surprised.

Defective within 8 months – No WarrantyPurchased this sub/amp in June of 2017. Had it installed in 2 different trucks before it began cutting in and out and stopped working entirely. I contacted Kicker, their Canadian distributor and Botley Store (the Amazon seller) only to be told that no one would be honouring the warranty. Buyer beware – if you buy it and it stops working you will be stuck with a $400 paperweight.

Great product.Nice metal body. Very solid construction. I’m used to having a single 10″ sub (JL Audio 10″ wedge). This sub performs great. The sizing allows me to hide it well. Do not expect it to thump down your street. If you are a basshead, you might want something a bit stronger, but for me, it suits my needs as I listen to almost everything. I’ve used this for almost a year with no issues.

Well, its a Kicker so…Delivery was sooner than expected & it sounds great in my truck. Nothing too powerful but just enough to shake & rattle to your roll.

  10. Robert
