Best CarPlay stereo for the priceI started out with a cheap Chinese radio. A total disaster. Nothing on that radio was well designed. Holes didn’t line ip with anything, including the brackets that came with the radio. So I stepped up to the Jensen. It’s well built. The holes line up with standard radio mounting brackets. It fit perfectly in my 1990 Toyota Pickup.There are a couple things they could fix, though. The radio doesn’t support CarPlay over Bluetooth. USB cable is required. But, there’s no USB port on the front. The only connection is a hardwired USB cable on the rear. So you need to figure out where to mount a USB socket on the dash, and you’ll need a pass through USB-A make to USB-A female cable because the built in cable won’t mount directly in the dash. You also need to think about where you want to locate the included microphone. It’s large and plastic and won’t really look good anywhere.If they added a microphone and USB jackin the front they would have a killer product. As is, it’s a solid choice but it takes time to install.

Buttons are hard to see and bt is wonkyI really wanted to like this stereo but, I just kept finding more and more issues. I wanted a known name and was replacing a Jensen so I was glad I found this one I could afford. I didn’t however like that the Bluetooth was wonky. The biggest downfall in my opinion was the lack of lit buttons. I needed a secondary button (a different purchase from a different company) to be able to perform any of the non lighted button assignments. I felt like I spent more time and money trying to make this stereo work that I ended up returning it and bought a very well rated new brand that is much much easier for me and offers a ton of features. I can’t remember now all the things that I didn’t like about this stereo but I do know I tried. I just kept finding myself more and more disappointed. I think the competition out there makes it very hard for an American company to compete with. To those that say they button are lit, that is untrue, also they are so small that it wouldn’t even help.. Heck, maybe they were? Sorry Jensen, I tried. It was definitely well made but at the end of it all it just couldn’t hold up against the competition.

This is wire only car play and android auto, does not connect wirelessly.I like it, cause I had low expectations to begin , its a good stereo, seems to be well built, and the sound is great.Slow response, but its ok.for 230 what can you expect.I did not like that you need to wire your phone for car play to work.at least it charges it so that is a plus.I think its worth the money.

Great RadioI’ve had this installed for about 4 years. It acted a little wonky for about a month as the Bluetooth wouldn’t connect to anything. I unplugged the harness and plugged it back in and everything worked great.Sound quality is awesome and it worked well with my wife’s iPhone

Great head unit for the price. Fully compatible with Apple and Android auto.Used Pioneer radios for years, after having issues with them with Android Auto I figured I would try this. Not only does this work better, it does not require the stupid parking brake bypass to connect to Android Auto or Apple Car Play. The sound quality is great and their customer support was actually easy to get through to a live person.

Great unit, easy install!This is an excellent double din unit if you’re on a budget and want to upgrade that older car stereo to include modern features. I installed this in my 2009 Focus so I could stream my music and take phone calls with bluetooth, use voice commands, and navigate with Apple car play. My wife even told me that it looks like it came from the factory. I highly recommend this Jensen unit.
