TERRIFIC FLASH but….The reviews are mostly accurate.This is a powerful and fantastic product.DEFINITELY buy the accessory modifiers.However, it is VERY difficult getting the flash on my Sony A7s3.I literally have to put it on my lap and use EXCESSIVE force.A drag.The Hot Show that everyone is complaining is a bit overblown but it could definitely be made more sturdySO I IMMEDIATELY bought the 3 year extended coverage.I don’t want to deal with it breaking which it could.

Two broken hotshoes – WHAT IS UP?I am on my 2nd Sony Version because the other two broke with minimal usage. Whatever reason this Sony Version is built SO FLIMSY!!!!…All I did was pick up my camera from my camera strap, and as I brought it up, the hot shoe snapped off the bottom. I didn’t even do it fast! That has happened TWICE to me while shooting events. Luckily it was at the end of my wedding event and I could go on one flash. I hope they can improve on this because this is stupid for it to break so easily.Not sure what else I can do…Literally use it once…Crazy.But before it broke – it works great and I do love it but REALLY I don’t have money to burn here or want to risk it on a important event.Loosing my patients with Godox.

So far seems excellent. Always fires off when I need it to. I use it on a Sony a6000, hot shoe.Battery life is exceptional, lite weight.

Broke first jobSo I purchased this a few months ahead for a wedding and other than using it a few times at home prior to the job to get familiar with it, I didn’t mess with it used it and kept it in the box. I had the wedding last night, and about halfway through it snaps and breaks at the joint right above the Hotshoe. Because this was very heavy when I carried it I tried to make sure to support it and I wasn’t constantly changing the angle of the flash. I wasn’t removing it and putting it back on. There is no reason for it to have broken.Do not reccommend

The Sony Version of the Godox V1 is horribleI’ve owned the Nikon versions of these, and now I am on my 3rd Sony Version because the other two broke with minimal usage. The Nikon versions were fantastic. They were built well, they stay on the camera well, great flash for less money then buying a profoto flash. BUT for whatever reason this Sony Version is built SO FLIMSY!!!!…All I did was pick up my camera from my camera strap, and as I brought it up, the hot shoe snapped off the bottom. I didn’t even do it fast! That has happened TWICE to me while shooting events. Luckily I have my Nikons as backups but I’m hoping to switch to Sony soon and these do not seem like viable options for me…Not sure what else I can do…

This thing is a beast!The battery lasts a while, it’s relatively easy to learn how to use, and does a great job at evening out lighting or adding light to any exposure. Great buy!!

Amazing product! Love this flash! SONY A7iii and Godox V1-S is the perfect combination!Used this at a first wedding reception and it was amazing! Was easy to use and allowed me to capture some amazing shots in a very low-light situation! Since then, have used it at another wedding and when taking indoor shots and I’m never disappointed. Was a little unsure about using an on-camera flash, but this is changing my photography for the better.Love the round head and love the ability to add attachments so easily for quick adjustments.I used it on my Sony a7iii! Perfect partnership! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

If you don’t have this, GET IT NOW!I was struggling for the longest for a perfect flash and oh boy this is it! It works as on-camera flash goes upto 1/8000 of a second and has in-built transmitter to control your other flash like ad200 pro. You also use this as an off-camera flash and then you will need a compatible Godox trigger, I use x2T-S for my A7iii. You will LOVE this.
