How to enable the USB2.0 in front of panel?
- Install DeskPi v1 driver.
- Add following parameter to /boot/config.txt file manually.
dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host
DO REMEMBER ‘reboot’ Raspberry Pi to take effect.

How to enable fan temperature control?
NOTE: Raspberry Pi OS (Latest) will support this function.
Open a terminal and typing following command:
sudo raspi-config
Navigate to Performance Options -> P4 Fan -> Yes -> 14 -> 60 -> yes -> finish -> reboot Raspberry Pi. The fan is support PWM signal control via GPIO14 which is physical pin 12(TXD), it will spinning when the CPU temperature is above 60 degree. and also you can write your code to control the fan via GPIO14, sending PWM signal will trigger the fan spinning.

How to send power_off signal to adapter board to cut off power?
- Make sure you have already add dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host to /boot/config.txt file and reboot Raspberry Pi.
- Check if there is a device called /dev/ttyUSB0
- Execute the python demo script in deskpi_v1/drivers/python/safecutoffpower.py
- you may need to install pyserial library.
- Recommend: adding this function after shutdown service, so that it can safely cut off the power of Raspberry Pi.

Fun product, too expensiveGreat product, too bad it is so expensive, feels like price gouging when there are no bare raspberry units available.It was easy to put together and it’s totally cute! It even comes with a little heat sink and fan.

Sellers taking advantage of the shortageThe product is fine – its a raspberry pi 4 with a nice case and heat sink. But keep in mind that the MSRP for a RBPi 4 is $55. Give them an extra 20 bucks for the case and extras, this should be sold for less than $100, but it’s currently being sold at $250, even when the shortage has abated significantly. I returned mine and picked up another board for 70.

Great kit!Everything you need to setup a nice Raspberry Pi system. I have this one running as a Pi-hole and recursive DNS server for my fairly large home network. The case is really nice with a great heatsink and fan. The system runs cool (32.6 C) and is very quiet. The conversion from the Pi board’s Micro HDMI to standard HDMI ports on the case is super convenient.The only fault I found during the build was that the case installation guide didn’t include instructions for installing the clear lens for the power and drive activity LEDs on the Pi motherboard. It’s pretty easy to figure out, but make sure it’s installed before closing the case up at the end of the build.

Nice build quality, better than expectedI got this kit because I wanted a Raspberry Pi 4 and they are currently pretty hard to find. I didn’t care about the other items included when I ordered it, however I was impressed. The overall build quality and the additional breakout board to add additional USB 2 and full size HDMI ports is excellent. I would highly recommend this. The case feels sold and fits the IO ports well and the active cooling is just bonus.

Received it with MULTIPLE missing itemsI did not receive the case the heat sinks or the additional board. Was shipped the original pi case that is all. I have a project due in a week so it will be very hard to return to get it sorted. Be very careful when ordering this product!

Not capable for 5g internet!!!!Very disappointed this is literally a desk ornament now because I can’t use it it will not connect to my 5G Internet waste of money be careful when you purchase that your Wi-Fi is 2.4 It worked great until I had a switch my Internet company now I can’t even get it to load
