Smaller but inferior to the regular sized versionI have a regular sized TT 15 and this mini one.The mini is much smaller and lighter but has less range and less battery. The collar strap seems more durable on the mini.At the end of a days use the regular sized version will have two battery bars left while the mini will only have one.The gps on the mini collar jumps around a lot more than the regular, only by 20 feet or so but it causes the “track” to be very noisy and blocks the other tracks on the screen.I would have purchased the regular sized collar had I know of these issues.– Update 9/14/2020The collar stopped beeping and my dog escaped. Tracking kept working so I found the dog but what’s most concerning is that the collar started to work normally after a reboot. I verified that it has the latest firmware installed but can’t return it because the window closed last month. Can’t find any help about this on the Garmin website.Can’t trust this collar anymore but the regular sized TT15 has been flawless.

Must have for hunting dogs ! Makes life easyBattery only last for 8 hours but it works great and my German shorthair is on the smaller side so the mini looks and works best on here.. the full side one the antenna tip was almost rubbing on the ground but on it the mini it comes right off her left side of her neck and hoes strait up over her neck and tip on her right side so it’s strait above her for great lone range service .. she’s been over a 1000 years playing and one hit of the vib she turns around and returns home and I can see her great in heavy Bush environment . I took the remote in my town and drove to my girls house 1.8 miles in town with heavy track homes and it was spotty but I can see her in my back year so if it was in a wide open area I believe you could get 6 or 8 miles.. worth ever penny

Better for dogs under 60lbsI like the ability to shut down tracking without taking the collar off the dog.Saves time when changing spots or lunch.Battery lasts longer than I am willing to walk/hunt. .

Collar not transmitting info to Alpha 100 hand held unit. ??? Quality Control by GarminPaired out of box with my Alpha 100. Gets good GPS signal. three green flashes. Collar receives vibrate and stimulus from Alpha 100 but does not report location, battery status etc to Alpha 100. Returned to Amazon but the real pisser, two weeks before hunting begins……..a replacement unit is not now available. No manual in box and collar strap way too long. I had cut it before realizing unit was defective. Spent at least 3 hours screwing with it, downloading software updates etc.

Excellent collar, smaller version of their standard collarExcellent collar, smaller version of their standard collar. This system works extremely well when hunting in the forested areas of Mauna Kea.I’m using it on a puppy now so I needed a smaller collar.
