Description
This compact combo has lots of built-in benefits. Easy-to-install and even easier to use, it has a bright screen 4.3” display that is easy to read on a sunny day on the water. It includes a GT20 transducer for traditional Garmin CHIRP sonar that delivers remarkable target separation and CHIRP ClearVü scanning sonar for nearly photographic images of what’s below the boat. It comes preloaded with LakeVü g3 maps with integrated Navionics data, covering more than 17,000 lakes with up to 1’ contours.

Bottom mapping didn’t work outAlthough there are a lot of really good features, it didn’t work out for me, so I returned it.In my situation, there are areas of my lake where the shallow channels will move following storms. So I need to use the contouring mapping with defined depth colors so I can know where to avoid and to be able to map it again every so often.I was upgrading from the Garmin Striker Vivid 4cv in order to get some of the really good features the EchoMap had. The Strike does great at the type of mapping I need to do, but lacks other features I want.I spent well over an hour with Garmin tech support before they finally said I’d need to go to the Striker 7cv to do what I want with some extra features ( but nit all of them(. So, I’m compromising. The two photos show the difference between the Striker 4 and EchoMap 4 in the same little cove I go through. The Striker just shows a lot more detail in terms of color based depths from the bottom contours I collect.I’d say if you don’t need to do what I’m doing, it’s actually a great little unit.

Genius!Bought for my sailboat – really just for chart plotter function. Not even sure if I will install the transducer.Great kit! Love it! Small enough so that it is not in the way but big enough to read the chartplotter screen. All functions are intuitive. Works great in sunshine.I attached a TalentCELL battery 12V LION (rechargeable) to the unit. I Velcroed battery to the back of pedestal table. Works great. Did not want to run any wires or drill any holes. Also used RAM mount to attached to pedastal 1” railing.Very nice portable setup.Maybe one day I will install transducer.

This Garmin product is AwsomeThe unit is one of the best GPS Map and Fish Finder compact units I have ever used. The CLRVIEW transducer is well worth the cost. As to the seller do you not have a person looking at your posting, I only ask be cause a picture of a cover for a phone is shown and not of the Fish finder. You might want to fix that.

FIND MY DOCK IN THE PITCH BLACK NIGHTI’m still learning to use this device but it already helped me navigate back to my dock safely on a huge lake following watching the fireworks show at the dam about 4 miles away.God Bless America.

PerfectPerfect for our fishing needs at Catalina Island. Small size fits out 18 ft boat perfectly. Love it.

It worked one time. Transducer failed.Note: I’m trying to get Garmin to provide a warranty return for the transducer or at least we think its the transducer. It has been a nightmare to deal with. The design for the plugs on the back is horrible. I’m hoping things work out but not holding my breath. I’d say to avoid. Not sure what it shows screen protectors. I fear that this seller may have sold me a reman or used or fake item.

Still didn’t catch fish 😒It’s a little awkward to setup the screens the way you want. It also does not have the resolution that they show. The mapping is excellent though!
