Needs a little more tensionI’m only giving this screen 4 stars because I still had small ripples on the screen even when fully extended. Don’t get me wrong, I think this screen is a much better value (and easier to move around) than the more expense motorized variants. But the tension is supposed to be one of its selling points. it’s almost great. When I tried to figure out the problem, I realized that there is no real tension at the ends of the screen – the bar you pull up – in the up/down direction. When the screen is extended, simply pushing up a little on the left and right side pretty much removed any remaining ripples on the screen. This may sound odd, but I resolved the problem fairly simply (and cheaply): adjustable tension shower curtain rods. I put one on each side to give the top bar that little extra tension it needed. Now the screen is perfect.Elite Screens: Please start adding black curtain rods to the product. 🙂

Great value, but it’ll make you want to pony up for that Vividstorn.I wanted to have a screen in my bedroom. See, the wall was working okay except for the fact I have one of those detailed walls (stucco? Don’t know what it’s called) and though it looks just fine when using a long-focus projector, it is quite noticeable when using an ultra-light throw one. I am not about to start hanging screens from the ceiling, so this fit the bill. It is just fine for what I’m trying to achieve in my bedroom.Pros:-Portable. Extremely easy to set up, but if you’re short, get ready to hop on a chair.-Pretty good value for the money (I paid right under $500 for it) compared to the ultra expensive motorized floor-rising ones.Cons:-Though it is easy to set up, because of the length I’m thinking it would be almost impossible to transport easily via vehicle. I haven’t tried to put it in my truck’s bed yet, but I hope it would fit if the need arises. You won’t be able to fit this in a car without it poking out of a window.-Not 100% tensioner tightly. More like 92.83%. I’m thinking most won’t notice it, but if you’re a stickler for a tight screen you will. Still, it isn’t loose enough to be annoying, so I’m satisfied with it.-92″ is big but I wish they offered something larger. I fell in love with the size of the image on my wall. I haven’t an easy way of measuring, but the image seemed to have been something around 135″. It was massive. However, the tradeoff is a much, much brighter and clearer image. Would be nice if they offered something larger, preferably 150″ to get the full effect of my ust projector.-Having said that, I kind of wish I would have ponied up for the ust floor rising motorized screen offered by Vividstorm. However, that costs almost 5 times as much, and so that makes this an excellent value for the money.I hope you have found my review useful. I really enjoy this projector, don’t love it but it will do for now. Time to start saving my pennies for a motorized, larger version and then put this bad boy downstairs.

Additional 1-Year Warranty RequestI was motivated to write this review to receive the additional 1 year warranty from Elite Screens. I am writing a very positive review but that has nothing to do with the warranty stuff. This is my second Elite Screen ezCinema screen. The first is the first model and the 10′ diagonal which I also use frequently for our mobile AV business. This screen is definitely a notch smaller than the 10′ screen but still large enough for a corporate meeting of up to about 150 people in my opinion. The pic above is it set up against a chalkboard (black) background. Elite Screens fixed every complaint I had about the first screen: no carrying case, one ‘foot’ placed in the middle of the screen’s length versus two ‘feet’ spread out equally (wobble), two handles spread out versus one in the middle and the (a little clunky) mechanism to raise it out of the metal housing. I don’t see anything negative about this screen and we think it is very professional, bright, easy to transport and us and set up takes 30 seconds max. FYI – the projector in the pic is the Epson Powerlite 2250u.

Nice big screen, but could be better.I have some small issues that don’t impact day to day use. I just leave the screen open all the time. It’s very big and allows my 4K projector to show a nice crisp image. Some of the issues I have:- The scissor back metal bars are a bit bent so it makes a scraping sound and is not smooth when pulling out of the case.- There was a small tear or scratch at the top of the screen. Thankfully it was in the black area so this doesn’t affect the image. I drew over it with a black sharpie to “fix” the visible white tear.- The screen is tilted to the left. The base is level (I checked with a bubble level). But when I pull the screen up, the top is tilted toward to the left. Thus, my projector’s image is cut off at the top left a tiny amount. I “fixed” this by adding a 1 cm stack of printer paper under the left leg. And yes, I checked that my floor and projector are level. :-)- The screen is a bit wavy. This is because I have a short throw projector, so any small imperfections in the screen are magnified. The top of the white screen area is wavy and curved such that my projected image is concave near the center.I would not recommend this screen if you have a short throw projector (mine is a Optoma GT1090HDR). Definitely DO NOT BUY if you have an ultra short throw. The screen is simply not flat enough for ultra short throw. It would require a higher tension string, especially near the top. Or maybe they could have a taller black area at the top. That said, it does the job for what I need. My requirement was that I could pack it up and move it around if necessary, since my living space needs to be configurable. It met those requirements, and it seems (from my research) to be the best that I could do. Alternative screens do not have the tension strings so the screen would be even more wavy on my short throw projector.Good luck! This is not a bad screen. If the scissor back were smoother, and if the screen were flatter (i.e., more taut tension strings, or a way to increase tension without tearing the screen), I would upgrade to 5 stars!

Worth the Money SpentI bought an 84″ 16:9 screen. It is easy to set up. Just open the cover and pull out the screen. Then the screen is ready to use. With the aluminum cover, the screen is light, portable, and does not occupy much space. I use an Xgimi HD projector. I am satisfied with the colour and contrast on the screen. Although the screen has 1.1 gain, I did not feel brightness enhancement in comparison with projecting on a pure white wall while the brightness enhancement is obvious in comparison with projecting on a gray wall. The view angle of this screen is much better than any walls in my house. I give a 4-star overall rating because of some scratches on the aluminum cover’s inner surface and some palm prints on the back of the screen. Although the scratches and palm prints do not affect the screen usage, it is still annoying to clean them. Anyway, I like the screen. The screen is worth the money spent.

It worth the money spentThis is a great projector screen. Super easy to setup and it is very light. Your projector screen is ready to use in less than 1 min!! I got the 84″ which is just the perfect size for me. I use this outdoors and it is pretty steady. On some windy days, I hook the corners to a tree or a wall with a rope which provides better stability and just in case. It is a bit pricy comparing with other projector screens but it is totally worth it. I tend to spend much more time sitting in my backyard because of this!

  7. Kallisto

Awesome portable screen!Arrived early; did a quick inspection to make sure there was no damages during transport. Initial thoughts: Really like how sturdy this screen feels when setup, the aluminum protective case is nice. Extremely simple to setup, literally goes up and down with a few spins, clips, and a pull/push making it great for quick setup for presentations. Has a soft travel case to protect the aluminum case from being scratched up.There was some mild friction wear on the screen pull up handle which is why I gave this a 4-star rating.

  8. Amazon Customer

Great screen with a full metal housingThis ( portable screen is great. Easy to collapse and works wonders with short throw and long throw projectors. Don’t use this version if you have a UST projector since its not perfectly straight. You will need the tab tension version 95 inches to have better results. This screen also comes with its own carrying bag. One hand smooth lift operation. Its a must buy for on the go events. Or a NON dedicate home cinema room. Just role it down when not in use.

  9. Vahid Zoghi

Nice screen material, low quality attachment partsI had to return once because it was broken right out of the box. Second time it was ok but it has a very loud squeaky sound every time I fold and unfold it. But since it is very big and the return is very time consuming, I decided to keep it.The idea and the picture quality is good. There are subtle wave/wrinkles but they’re not noticeable while watching movies.
