Presently testing these cameras before deploying them in a very remote locationThe cameras appear well made. Good weight solid case positive closure sturdy mounting provisions.Only requires 6 AA batteries.Used for taking 10 sec videos. Seems to work well with good quality videos both day and night. I am having some issues with the cameras only taking videos for 10 to 10.5 hours after turning them on. Had discussions with Browning Customer service reps. They have provided me with some additional info which I am testing to see if the issue can be resolved. Testing will continue and if possible follow up reports will be posted.Reason for the 3 star overall rating is that I like the cameras but am not yet satisfied that they will function well over prolonged periods of time (up to 7 months) and regularly checked monthly for 5 months. The 5 Stars for picture quality is because the images captured are clear and bright during daylight hours and of good quality for night videos using no-glo IR illumination. 4 Stars for motion detection is because while range can be selected sensitivity cannot be adjusted and at long range, which is what I will require, the detection appears to be very sensitive to any movement creating a large number of videos not triggered by real targets but by wind or some other unknown source. The 1 Star battery life rating is because I don’t know how long batteries will last only having had the cameras for 5 days.

Refurbs???? Returns?? Kinda sketchyFirst camera did not have an instruction booklet. Second one had an instruction booklet. Hmm.. then I ordered the exact same camera from another seller a week later and it had an instruction booklet that was enclosed in cellophane. Which means of course that the first two cameras at some point had been repackaged. So far so good, but quite suspicious….I would suggest hanging onto the Box and keeping up with the return window.

power swich broke after 2 weeksInstalled this trail cam and got one round of great photos. Then, went to check the camera after 2 weeks and found it dead. Thought maybe the batteries drained, so replaced them but unit still wouldn’t power on. Took the camera home and found the power switch is defective – had to press it down extremely hard into the housing for power to work, but when you release it in the on position it goes off. Amazon return window was missed by one day so having to deal with Browning on the warranty. Disappointed in short life/defect in new unit.

2 faulty cameras from the factoryRecently received Browning cameras number 5 and 6. One of the had a faulty battery tray cartridge that would not latch. I sent it back, paying for the return postage, and received a new one that won’t turn on. Once again, shipping back at my cost again! Too much work, let alone having to pay shipping for a third time! I’m done. Browning has done nothing to make it right.
