The first two episodes of Marvel's "Hawkeye" are now available to stream exclusively on Disney Plus, with new episodes premiering every Wednesday through the end of 2021. Jeremy Renner returns as the titular Avenger while Hailee Steinfeld joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kate Bishop, a young woman training to earn Hawkeye's mantle.
While "Hawkeye" takes place after the events of "Avengers: Endgame," the Disney Plus series is heavily influenced by the 2012 "Hawkeye" comic book run authored by Matt Fraction and David Aja.
"Hawkeye" is the fifth MCU show to debut on Disney Plus in 2021, following "WandaVision," "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," "Loki," and "What If…?" Marvel has announced a full slate of shows coming to Disney Plus in the future, including "Ms. Marvel," "Moon Knight" starring Oscar Isaac, and "Armor Wars." So far "Loki" and "What If…?" are the only MCU shows to be confirmed for a second season.
